Accessibility Statement

We aim for this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, the standard most widely used for the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination. Accessibility is part of how we build and update the site, not a one-time project.

Our current status is partially conformant: most of the site meets the standard, and we're working on the items listed in section 5 below.

• Works with screen readers: clear page headings in order, labeled menus, and one main content area on every page, with a "Skip to content" link as the first thing you reach with the Tab key on our main pages.
• Full keyboard use: every menu, button and form can be used without a mouse, with a clearly visible outline showing where you are.
• Described photos: job photos have text descriptions of what was done, and before, during and after photos are captioned.
• Readable forms: every field on the free estimate form has a visible label, required fields are marked, and if sending fails the form tells you in words and gives you our phone number.
• Readable colors: dark text on a light background, a dark version that follows your phone or computer setting, and buttons large enough to tap easily.
• Less motion: if your device is set to reduce motion, moving parts such as the scrolling reviews stop. The reviews also pause when you hover over or tab into them.
• Zoom friendly: pages can be zoomed to 200% and still read on a phone without sideways scrolling.
• Fast on mobile: pages are delivered ready to read, so they load quickly even on slower connections.

The round button with the person icon in the bottom corner of every page opens our accessibility menu. You can also open and close it with Ctrl + U (Cmd + U on a Mac) and close it with Esc. Your choices are saved on your device, so they stay in place on every page and next time you visit.

• Quick profiles for motor impairments, blindness, color blindness, dyslexia, low vision, cognitive and learning needs, seizure safety and ADHD.
• Text: larger text, wider letter and word spacing, taller line height, text alignment, a dyslexia-friendly font and a text magnifier.
• Color: high contrast, inverted colors, low or high color saturation, grayscale, and an option to hide images.
• Reading and navigation: a reading guide, a reading mask, read aloud, a double-click dictionary, a big cursor, a strong focus outline, tooltips, and a page structure list that jumps straight to any heading.
• Menu button: move it to the left or right side, or make it bigger.

The menu adds to, and doesn't replace, the accessibility tools already on your device, such as VoiceOver, TalkBack, NVDA, JAWS or browser zoom.

Our hours are Monday to Saturday, 7:00am to 7:00pm.

• Outside websites: links to Google, Facebook and Instagram open sites we don't control. Their accessibility is up to those companies.
• Photo detail: descriptions explain the work shown, but can't capture every detail of a finished yard. Call or text us and we'll describe any job in more detail.
• Read aloud and dictionary rely on features in your browser and a free online dictionary, so they may not work in every browser or language.
• Older browsers: some menu settings, such as color filters, need an up-to-date browser.

We review the site ourselves with keyboard-only testing, screen reader checks, automated accessibility testing tools, color contrast checks and zoom testing on phones and computers. We check again whenever we add new pages or photos.
